Lovely paper with deckled edge,Valerie Christmas (1934 – 2020) was born in Surrey. She trained at Wimbledon School of Art, Royal College of Art, Bournemouth and Poole School of Art and Design. After moving to Dorset, she worked as an art teacher and studied etching at the Bournemouth and Poole School of Art and Design. She exhibited at the R.A. Summer Exhibition and took to etching thereafter. She used aquatint to colour her etchings. She enjoyed painting nature, wildlife and animals and the landscape and coast of Dorset.
