Informal & Written Valuations & Advice
Whether you need an approximate guide price with a view to selling art in the UK, or formal written valuations, for Insurance and Probate for example, we can help. We can provide condition reports for your art and offer guidance on the viability of repairs or restoration of your painting or artwork. Wherever possible, we can also offer advice on the authenticity of a painting and help determine the period in which it was painted. At extra cost, and subject to feasibility, we can research the artist and painting, where known. Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, near London, we offer advice and valuations of antique and modern art, based on current market prices and our experience as art dealers, each with over thirty-five year’s of experience.
Prices for Valuations & Re-sale Advice
Informal valuations and/ or advice will be charged at £8.00 for one item. Subsequent items will be charged at £5.00 each. These fees will be waivered at our discretion for paintings we sell on your behalf.
Research of a painting – £30.00 – subject to feasibility.
Written valuations will be charged from £20.00 for one item. Subsequent items will be charged at £10.00 each.
Please contact us to make an appointment to value your items or send an email with, clear, high resolution photographs of each item to be valued, front and back, clearly showing the condition and any damage. Please also tell us the size of the items. We may require more information.

Please note that we cannot accept liability for losses, financial or otherwise, to any persons connected with our valuations service. Prices are intended as an approximate guide only and values or paintings are subject to change as the market is dynamic. We cannot offer refunds for valuations. Advice given is based on our 35 years’ experience and the information you provide but is not infallible or exhaustive.

Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, near London, and in easy reach of the M25, we offer specialist restoration of antique and modern oil paintings, pastel paintings and works on paper. We can help with picture canvas re-lining, picture re-varnishing, picture cleaning, touching in and conservation. Our picture restorers are professionally trained experts, with great experience.
