Edward Wesson (1910-1983, was a self-taught artist born in London. He became a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in watercolour, exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Society of British Artists).
He was known for the effortless, loose quality of his work, using large brushes to make broad sweeps and a limited colour palette. He excelled at painting landscapes.
