Pastel on paper portrait painting of a Border Collie dog. This is a beautifully executed portrait. by acclaimed British canine and equine artist 20th century artist, Mary Browning (died 2022). Jackson, the dog’s name is included, but can be over-mounted.
Browning lived in Oxfordshire and was also an art teacher. Member of The Society of Equestrian Artists. She painted many commissions for members of the Royal Family. She painted dogs belonging to HM Queen Elizabeth, the late Queen Mother, Princess Anne, the Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael of Kent. She donated many paintings to Italian Greyhound rescue, being an owner and champion of the breed.
